A graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Beaux‑Arts in Dijon, France, Fabrice Berrux designs playful, sensitive objects, often drawing inspiration from the world of art. Designed as a tribute to Andy Warhol, his Flower vase was a precursor to the poetic Mayflower armchair later produced by Roche Bobois. His designs play with materials, shapes and light, consistently revealing a striking graphic aesthetic. Some of his pieces are displayed in the Paris Museum of Decorative Arts.

Manufacturing secrets

Fabrice Berrux’s designs play skillfully with volume, mass and materials. The Aqua dining table is composed of a monolithic base carved from a single block of Carrara marble. Upon this pure and fluid form is placed a matte tabletop, serving to contrast with the sheen of the marble.
This film tracks each stage of the carving process, from quarrying the rough block of marble to polishing the final form. In Aqua, the designer’s inspiration and the work of expert craftspeople come together to form a grand and evocative collection with timeless appeal.
